Max Factor Mastertouch concealer

Hey guys! How are you all? I am so excited, Halloween is SO close and the decorations have just gone up, Halloween is my Christmas so I'm just buzzing! :D Today, I'm talking about the Max Factor Mastertouch concealer. I love the Max Factor brand and I have a huge love for their Facefinity primer. So I thought I would give this concealer a go! I got this in the lightest shade they had- 303 Ivory, which was a brilliant match for my skin.

I would consider Mastertouch to be medium coverage. It has a really lovely light and thin (in a good way) consistency. It blends in really nicely with my foundation. A huge factor in whether I like a concealer or not is if it sits on the skin, looking cakey or if it creases. I am happy to say that it neither looks cakey or creases and I am loving this concealer! The Mastertouch concealer illuminates and brightens, making me look more awake and fresher. It's fantastic for masking blemishes, dark circles and any discolouration. Mastertouch has fantastic staying power, lasting all day. I think if you were up early and up until the wee hours, you would only need to top it up once.

The packaging is lovely and simple. It's a click twist pen with a spongy (ugh) doefoot applicator. I don't use the applicator, I prefer to use my finger to apply concealer. However, the one con I do have with Max Factor's Mastertouch concealer is that it's only 6ml. Don't be fooled by the size of the packaging, you only get 6ml. I don't think I will too long out of this concealer!
Depending on how long I get out of this concealer, I will 100% repurchase the Mastertouch concealer. It costs €8.99 and I give it 9/10.
Have you tried the Mastertouch concealer? What were your thoughts? What concealer do you always reach for? Let me know below!

Five Films I Will Never Tire Of

Hey guys! How are you all? I'll be upfront with you guys. Due to other priorities, money is quite tight, so for right now, beauty related review are thin on the ground. Do stay with me though, I do have some interesting posts lined up!
I'm a huge film fan, only in the past few years, mind. I love Tim Burton with every inch of my soul, and he has given me so much inspiration, that I wouldn't know where to start if I ever got the amazing opportunity to thank him. #queen. There are some movies in my humble collection that I could watch on a loop, never tire of, and can talk along with.

Inglourious Basterds
I am a history nerd, end of, I am especially interested in World War II. Of course Inglourious Basterds would be the preferred ending to World War II! Inglourious Basterds, directed by the legend that is Quentin Tarantino, is set in France. Depicting France under Nazi Occupation, Inglourious Basterds tells an alternate history of two plots to kill Hitler and other high ranking Nazis. One plot by a team of Jewish-American soldiers, led by LT. Aldo Raine, played by Brad Pitt. The second plot by a young Jewish-French cinema proprietor, Shosanna Dreyfus, played by French actress Melanie Laurent. Christoph Waltz, who plays SS colonel, Hans Landa, in particular, was absolutely outstanding! It's every bit as bloody, gory and explosive as you would expect from a Tarantino movie! I couldn't recommend another movie as highly as I do Inglourious Basterds!

Frankenweenie
Hands down, my favourite Tim Burton movie! Such is my adoration for Frankenweenie, an eventual tattoo covering my thigh will be of Weird Girl and Mr.Whiskers! Frankenweenie is a remake of Burton's 1984 short film of the same name. Frankenweenie beautifully tells the story of young filmmaker and avid scientist Victor Frankenstein and his best friend, his dog Sparky. After Sparky is killed in a car accident, Victor tries (and succeeds) in bringing his best friend back to life, using electricity. After his classmates and parents find out about Sparky's resurrection, chaos soon reigns over the quiet town of New Holland as his classmates also attempt to bring their own pets back from beyond the grave. Heartwarming, macabre, a feelgood ending with outstanding production values. Frankenweenie will always have a place in my heart.

The Harry Potter films
Three movies in and I'm already cheating. I can't pick just one of them. I think you all know how much I freaking adore Harry Potter! I'm rereading the books at the moment, though I have other books to finish off! It's true, 'Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home'. I used the books and the movies around two years ago as a form of escapism, when my life was falling to shit. I liked to pretend I was a character in Harry Potter that had to overcome those obstacles, and come out the other side a different, stronger person. I liked to pretend I was a character like Neville Longbottom in a new job, when I perceived myself to be terrible, but would have to come into my own. Like Neville did. Like I eventually did. Harry Potter has helped me immensely. It always will. Always.

Corpse Bride
Another Tim Burton favourite. Now normally, I really don't care for musicals. But Corpse Bride? I sing along every time, I know all the words, I have the soundtrack on my ipod, down to a simple piano piece. I stick it on when I'm not sure what I want to watch, because I know I'll enjoy it as much as I did the first time I saw it! Corpse Bride tells the story of young Victor Van Dort, arranged to marry Victoria Everglot. Due to a series of events, Victor finds himself married to jilted bride from beyond the grave, and thrown into life in the festive and fun Land of the Dead. A welcome change from the dull and dreary Land of the Living. If you watch the special features, you will get a glimpse into how Corpse Bride was made. My jaw dropped and mind boggled with the intricate detail, dedication and talent that went in to producing Corpse Bride. You have to see it to believe it. Out of every movie I have ever seen, Corpse Bride is the most thoughtfully produced and put together.

American Beauty
American Beauty is narrated by the main character and all round hero Lester Burnham, played by Kevin Spacey, who is a fed up husband, father and employee who hates his job. Fed up with life, he decides to revert to the stage in his life when he was happiest, a liberated teenager with no responsibilities. Lacking intimacy with his superficial materialistic wife, he becomes infatuated with his daughter's best friend, Angela Hayes, played by Mena Suvari. American Beauty is a satire is American middle class life, in regards to the idea of beauty and personal satisfaction. It explores the themes of lust, happiness, self-liberation, sexuality, materialism and sexual awakening. The subtle symbolism, themes and a fantastic cast who fit their roles so perfectly make this one of my favourite movies and a movie I really recommend you all watch at least once in your life!

And they are the five movies that I will never, ever tire of! Do you love any of the movies I mentioned? What movies will you never get tired of? Let me know below!

Gosh BB cream

Hey guys! How are you all doing on this wonderful Friday? Today, I'll be talking about Gosh's BB cream. Earlier this year, I finally gave in and explored the hype around BB and CC creams. I still haven't found the right one (little spoiler). I do find them a wonderful alternative for when I'm not arsed with foundation such as when I'm exercising and at work. I haven't tried anything from Gosh in yeeeeears. Not since I was 13 and got their bronzing beads and crushed them into a powder...ahem.
The Gosh BB cream is a three in one product: a foundation, primer and a moisturiser. I don't care for this BB cream. In the slightest. This BB cream has added SPF 15, which is a plus, but I can smell the SPF, which is quite strong. I picked this up in it's lightest shade, 01 Sand.

So why don't I like the Gosh BB cream? The coverage is way too light. I know that's the point of a BB cream, but it's supposed to cover to an extent! It doesn't build up nicely either. It barely lasts until I return from work (6:30am-3:30pm). It wears off very easily. The added SPF makes me so shiny, which means alot of fixing powder is needed. I have combination skin, and this BB cream is just so terrible at controlling shine! For a product that barely covers anything, the texture is way too thick.

The only positive things I can say about the Gosh BB cream is that it does hydrate and feel light and fresh on the skin, and it slightly evens out  my skin tone. I really don't recommend this BB cream for combination/oily skin types, though if you have normal to dry skin, you might get on better with it.
I didn't like the Gosh BB cream at all, so I won't be repurchasing. It costs €10.99. I give it 3/10. The search for the perfect BB or CC cream continues!
Have you ever tried the Gosh BB cream? Did you get on with it better than I did? Have you any great BB or CC cream recommendations? Leave them below!

D'Fluff shaving soap

Hye guys! How are you all doing? First of all. I'm sorry I had no blog posts up last week! It was such a busy week, and honestly, I was feeling uninspired, blogging wise, and I don't want to write shit posts for you guys that I wouldn't even read myself! But I'm back now with a review of Lush's shaving soap, D'Fluff! I've only ever heard amazing things about D'Fluff. I always have incredibly dry skin after I shave, it generally feels scaly, tight, and looks awful. I have to say, I have fallen in love with D'Fluff!

The key ingredients in D'Fluff are: Fresh strawberries- The fresh strawberries in D'Fluff is one of the main ingredients and gives this shaving soap that wonderful sweet strawberry scent! Rose Absolute- Balances and restores the skin. Fairtrade Cocoa Butter- Leaves the skin hydrated, soft and silky smooth. Organic Rosehip oil- Rich in vitamins for healthy skin.
A little goes a long way with D'Fluff, you don't have to apply too much, as rubbing some of the soap between your palms thickens it up into a easily spreadable paste. When using D'Fluff, I scoop out a small bit, rub it between my palms, rub it onto my skin and glide over it with my razor, rinsing the blade often.

One great thing about D'Fluff is that it isn't as thick as normal shaving foam, so it doesn't clog the blade at all! D'Fluff is just so easy to shave with! It's a sensitive and gentle soap on the skin so it's really ideal to use on the more intimate areas, and perfect for skin that gets sore and irritated after shaving.

D'Fluff leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, hydrated, smelling fabulous, and not feeling sore and tight afterwards. I think it will be hard to go back to normal shaving foam after using D'Fluff! I can't sing its praises highly enough. It will be perfect especially for Winter, when my skin gets even drier and sore post shave. For a 70g pot, D'Fluff costs €6.85, which is so worth it! I give it 10/10. It 100%, will be another Lush repurchase.
Have you ever tried D'Fluff before? What were your thoughts? What to you use to shave to avoid dry and tight skin? Let me know below!

Lush bath bombs!

Hey guys! How are you all doing on this lovely Saturday? This post should have gone up yesterday, but I was in no humour to write. I have what I suspect is a throat infection, and I am feeling so run down. Last week I went up to Lush. Before the Summer and the Winter, I make sure to go up to Lush, and get some of the necessities for the few months! I do like the odd bath in Winter and I have been so stressed out lately, I thought I would pick up some of Lush's amazing as ever bath bombs!

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment- Oh my, the smell of this bath melt. It's so addictive and very, very familiar to Lush's Snow Fairy! With the added marshmallow in this bath melt, it's supposed to be great for irritated skin. This melt will be fantastic for the really cold weather! The key ingredients in Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment are- Marshmallow Powder- Soothes and softens skin. Cocoa Butter- Softens, hydrates and conditions the skin. Almond Oil- Hydrates skin. Chamomile Powder- soothes skin irritation. Mmmelting Marshmallow Moments costs €5.25 and I'm excited to try it!

Brightside bubble bar- Amongst the array of Lush's bath products, Brightside stood out to me the most! I was immediately drawn to its colours and it's amazing citrus scent, which is my absolute favourite scent! It smells like Frosties sweets or those fizzy orange lollipops. The size is fantastic! I just put a chunk of it in my bath last night, and I imagine I'll get four baths out of it, It smells up the bathroom with an amazing orange sweet scent, and creates a tonne of bubbles! Brightside is supposed to refresh and uplift you. As sick as I am right now, Brightside did cheer me up a little! The key ingredients in Brightside are- Tangerine Oil- An uplifting fragrance that tones the skin. Bergamot oil- Therapeutic and uplifting. Cleanses the skin. Brightside also includes Sicilian mandarin and essential oils. Brightside costs €5.95 and I give it 9/10.

The Comforter-  The Comforter bubble bar is the same size as Brightside, which means I should get four baths out of it! Like Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment, The Comforter also reminded me of Snow Fairy, but with more of a spice to it. The Comforter was made for a relaxing and destressing soak. The key ingredients are- Bergamot Oil- Uplifting scent and cleanses the skin. Cassis Absolute- A comforting and fruity scent. Cypress Oil- Calming scent and tones the skin. I can't wait to use The Comforter when I have a particularly stressful day. It costs €5.95.

Have you tried any of these beautiful bath bombs yet? What did you think? What are your favourite Lush bath bombs? Let me know below!
